How much does dog training cost?
Prices vary enormously, and the cheapest option is rarely the cheapest in the end, because problems that get half fixed come back harder. Here is how the money actually works.
Cost depends on three things: how much of the work you do yourself, how long the dog needs, and how serious the behaviour is. One to one sessions are the lowest entry point, residential board and train is the highest because the dog lives with a trainer and works every day. We quote after a free phone consultation rather than pricing a dog we have not heard about.

What moves the price
- ●Format. Group classes, private sessions and residential programmes sit at very different levels.
- ●Duration. A two week reset and a six week transformation are different pieces of work.
- ●Severity. Aggression and serious anxiety need more time and more care than a puppy learning to sit.
- ●Travel. Sessions further from Harlow may carry travel time.
- ●Aftercare. Ask what is included after the training finishes, because it is often the difference between results lasting and not.
How to compare quotes properly
Ask how many hours the dog actually gets, who handles it, whether the handover session is included, and what happens if things slip in month three. A cheap quote with no aftercare is usually the expensive one.
Why experience matters to price
Three generations of our family have done this work, with over 8,000 dogs trained between us. That is not a marketing line, it is why an assessment usually identifies the real problem in the first session rather than the fourth.

Common questions
We give you a clear price once we understand the dog and what you need. The consultation itself is free.
For serious behaviour work and busy households, usually yes, because the dog gets daily consistent handling that is very hard to reproduce at home.
Ask us when you call and we will talk it through honestly.
