How long does board and train take?
The honest answer is that it depends on what you are asking the dog to change. A young dog learning structure is a different job from a five year old rehearsing reactivity every day for three years.
Two weeks resets a routine and installs the basics. Three to four weeks is the common middle ground for obedience plus a behaviour issue. Six weeks is for serious behaviour work or full transformations. Older habits and stronger emotions need longer, and we tell you which bracket we think your dog is in before you commit.

Roughly what happens when
- ●Week one, settling, assessment and foundations. Some dogs go quiet for a couple of days, which is normal.
- ●Week two, obedience under mild distraction, calmness work, first real progress you can see on video.
- ●Weeks three and four, environmental work, proofing in busier places, behaviour specific setups.
- ●Weeks five and six, reliability, generalisation and preparing the dog to work for you rather than for us.
What makes it longer
Length of rehearsal, genuine fear rather than habit, health issues affecting comfort, and the amount of change the household can realistically maintain afterwards.
After the stay
Expect a settling in fortnight at home where you enforce the new rules carefully. Follow up sessions are available if anything slips.

Common questions
For a reset of routine and basic control on a fairly stable dog, often yes. For reactivity, usually not.
Yes, if we both think another block would help and there is availability.
You will see changes on the updates within the first week or so, but reliability is a later stage.
